We are a mother and daughter team who have a shared passion for all things creative.
Viv and Cicely have sewing in their blood. Coming from a long line of tailors, skills which go back more than five generations, Viv’s grandfather was a Saville Row tailor.

Viv

Viv spent thirty years as a primary school teacher and one of her greatest achievements was teaching children to sew and embroider.
She has sewn all of her life and in recent years has studied with the City and Guilds and attended courses by the School of Needlework. However, since discovering bear making many of her other creative persuits have taken a back seat.

Cicely

Cicely was introduced to sewing by her grandmother and was encouraged to pin fabric when she was just four years old!
Since then she studied Fashion and Clothing before completing a BA (hons) in Performance Costume at Edinburgh College of Art.
Currently working in the Early Years sector and in any spare moments putting the hours into MacBear.
